The Bremen-Durban Ocean Champions Programme Training the Trainers
The Bremen-Durban Ocean Champions programme offers a Training the Trainers training programme to 15 marine environmental educators and school teachers as an opportunity to further their knowledge about the ocean and learn more about creating awareness for the marine environment. The programme is part of the Climate Change Partnership between the sister cities Bremen in Germany and Durban and involves:
  • Four workshops on the marine environment and marine conservation
  • Contribution towards the development of teaching material and education manuals
  • Knowledge exchange with marine experts from Bremen and Durban
  • Incorporation of marine education in line with the demands of the curriculum

Participating in the Training the Trainers programme will expose educators to expertise both from Bremen and Durban and will help develop innovative methods for the education on the ocean and marine conservation.

  • Your current activities in the marine education space
  • Your interest in the programme and what value you see in your participation
  • How you would use this experience to further your activities in the future

A CV detailing all achievements to date must also be included in the application together with certified copies of ID and all relevant certificates.
