ETHEKWINI FIRE EMERGENCY LINES TEMPORARILY DOWN AT SEVERAL FIRE STATIONS
The City wishes to inform residents that Fire Services emergency lines at several Municipal fire stations are currently unavailable due to a severe network disruption.
Yesterday’s severe thunder and lightning storms caused damage to critical communication infrastructure, preventing Fire Services from receiving calls through standard emergency channels.
Technical teams are working with urgency to identify and resolve the fault, with all available resources deployed to restore full functionality as quickly as possible.
To ensure continued access to emergency assistance, temporary alternative contact numbers have been activated.
Residents who are unable to reach the usual fire emergency lines are urged to use the following numbers for fire-related emergencies until further notice:

The Municipality apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during this time.
