ETHEKWINI MUNICIPALITY AND KZN OILS TO REVEAL TOP 20 ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT BENEFICIARIES
The media is invited to attend the launch of the second cohort of the Project 10X Unicorn Programme, where the top 20 entrepreneurs who will be participating in the 10-month Enterprise and Supplier Development Programme will be announced.
The top 20 entrepreneurs were selected from more than 200 applicants to be part of this development programme.
Project 10X is a strategic public-private partnership between eThekwini Municipality, the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, and KZN Oils. It aims to empower local small businesses, particularly those operating in township and peri-urban communities.
Following a rigorous selection process, 35 entrepreneurs were shortlisted and were afforded the opportunity to pitch their businesses before a specialised panel.
From this highly competitive group, 20 entrepreneurs were selected to participate in the programme, which provides mentorship, incubation, business development support, skills training, financial assistance, and market access opportunities.
Building on the success of its inaugural cohort, Project 10X continues to create pathways for local enterprises to grow, become market-ready, access value-chain opportunities, and contribute to job creation and inclusive economic growth.
The launch will showcase the impact of collaborative efforts to develop resilient, high-growth businesses capable of driving economic transformation in eThekwini and KwaZulu-Natal.
