HIGH-LEVEL GOVERNMENT DELEGATION TO RECEIVE SAFETY BRIEFING AHEAD OF PLANNED MARCHES
A high-level government delegation will today, 30 June, visit the eThekwini Joint Operations Centre.
The visit will focus on law enforcement's safety and security preparations for planned marches in Durban and surrounding communities.
The delegation will comprise eThekwini Mayor, Councillor Cyril Xaba; Deputy Minister of Police, Cassel Mathale; Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Dr Namane Masemola; Deputy Minister of Employment and Labour, Jomo Sibiya; KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport and Human Settlements, Siboniso Duma; and KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Health, Nomagugu Simelane.
The oversight visit will take place as follows:
