LEARN TO SWIM PROGRAMME LAUNCH
The City’s Recreation and Parks Directorate, in partnership with uShaka Marine World, will on Friday, 6 February launch this year’s Learn to Swim Programme as part of its ongoing efforts to promote water safety and life-saving skills.
The swimming programme is scheduled to commence next week and will target Grade 4 and 5 learners from all regions across eThekwini.
The initiative aims to equip learners with basic swimming skills, water safety awareness, and increased confidence in aquatic environments.
This programme forms part of the Municipality’s broader commitment to reducing drowning incidents and promoting healthy, active lifestyles among children.
