MAYOR XABA TO INSPECT COMPLETED ACCOMMODATION FOR FLOOD VICTIMS
EThekwini Mayor Councillor Cyril Xaba will today, 24 June, inspect 136 newly completed accommodation units at Montclair Lodge, which will provide housing for residents displaced by floods.
The completion of these units marks a significant milestone in the Municipality’s efforts to provide sustainable housing solutions for affected communities.
It also paves the way for the closure of one of the City’s rented temporary emergency accommodation facilities.
The Montclair Lodge development forms part of a broader intervention aimed at restoring dignity and stability to flood-affected families.
Upon completion, the project will deliver a total of 500 accommodation units, all scheduled for completion within the current year.
