MAYOR XABA TO UNVEIL EASTER HOLIDAY READINESS PLAN
As the Easter season approaches, eThekwini Mayor Councillor Cyril Xaba, will today, 29 March, officially unveil the City’s Easter Holiday Readiness Plan.
The plan outlines key measures to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and well-managed holiday period for both residents and visitors.
In addition, the Mayor will provide an update on the current status of the City’s beaches and water infrastructure, highlighting progress and readiness for the busy holiday season.
The Mayor will also provide key highlights of the proposed draft budget of R74 billion for the 2026/27 financial year, which will be approved by Full Council for public consultation.
The budget focuses on upgrading water infrastructure to ensure a reliable water supply, as well as repairing sanitation infrastructure damaged during recurring floods.
