MEDIA ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION AND UMKOMAAS DAM SITE VISIT
EThekwini Municipality, through the Presidential eThekwini Working Group (PeWG) Marketing and Communications Workstream, invites members of the media to attend an Media Round Table Discussion which will be followed by an on-site visit to the uMkomaas Dam construction site.
The engagement aims to provide members of the media with an in-depth update on the project, key milestones, and achievements of the PeWG, with a particular focus on phase two.
EThekwini Mayor Councillor Cyril Xaba will lead the discussion highlighting:
•Strategic programmes undertaken by the PeWG
•Preparations underway for the upcoming SADC Summit to be hosted in eThekwini
•Programmes undertaken by Brand South Africa and their alignment with eThekwini Municipality’s vision.
Members of the media will be taken on an inspection in loco to the uMkomaas Dam construction site, where a technical briefing on the project's progress and its strategic importance will be presented.
