MEDIA TOUR ON THE SOUTHERN AQUEDUCT WATER PROJECT
EThekwini Municipality will tomorrow, 27 February, provide an update on the significant progress made on the Southern Aqueduct Water Project.
Several work packages have been completed, and project teams are currently finalising minor works ahead of commissioning, which is scheduled for March 2026.
The 24-kilometre bulk water pipeline from the Durban Heights Water Treatment Plant to Durban South will significantly address water challenges affecting areas such as Shallcross, Chatsworth, Lamontville and uMlazi once completed.
Members of the media are invited to attend an inspection-in-loco tour and update briefing scheduled as follows:
