PUBLIC NOTICE
URGENT WATER SHUTDOWN: PROSPECTON AND ISIPHINGO
EThekwini Municipality advises residents and businesses of an urgent water shutdown in Prospecton, between Avenue East and Joyner Road, due to detected leaks on a pipeline.
The Shutdown period is from today, 2 April 2026, from 17:00 until 24:00 (midnight).
During this period, there will be water supply interruption in Prospecton (Avenue East to Joyner Road). Surrounding areas may experience low pressure.
Once repairs are completed, water supply will be restored gradually as reservoirs are refilled and connections stabilised.
Affected Areas include:
• Prospecton (Avenue East to Joyner Road – full interruption)
• Isiphingo Beach
• Athlone Park (low pressure)
The Municipality apologises for the inconvenience and thanks residents and businesses for their patience and cooperation during this essential repair.
